Hat Trick

Hubby was going to pitch his Baseball coach hat (since more than likely our son is done with the game for good...that's a whole other post ...) but I decided to try to reuse it.
I looked for a patch that was big enough to cover the DT letters. I found one close but not quite wide enough. Next I tried to rip the embroidery out. No luck. Then I tried coloring the embroidery with black marker. Not so good. Finally I found an iron-on patch kit with black material. Cut it to size, distressed it a bit to look cool and worn, and slapped it over the letters. Next I ironed the cool crest patch on top of the material patch & wah-la! Cool new hat! Not sure if dear hubby will wear it...maybe I'll steal it for myself! :)
