Mac vs. PC

Ok, we've all seen the "Hi, I'm a Mac. And I'm a PC." ads. It's a cute commercial series, but personally I've always sided with PC. In my past working life, Macs were for Graphic Designers and PC's were for everyone else. And I fell into the everyone else group. Even when I got into Web Content & Design, our department stayed the course with the PC's. And since just about everything I learned about working with computers was on the job, I could safely say that I was a PC.

But then Apple comes up with the coolest thing ever. And I am seriously considering switching to Mac. (And I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth, lol!)

The iPad. WOW. I mean really WOW. Exactly what I have been wanting.

You see, since I have been in this next chapter of my life - a stay-at-home-mommy - technology has started to pass me by. I have a TracFone for emergencies, standard PC tower at home for computer stuff, no laptop, a basic little generic MP3 player that I hardly ever listen to, and I don't text. In fact, starting this blog was a big step into the future for me. But there are times when I wish I could access my email and the internet while out and about, or on my outside deck enjoying the weather or waiting for Braxton's ball practice to finish. But I really didn't want to sit at the ball field with a laptop. I had been considering one of the mini laptops, but ehhh. I also looked into the Kindle for reading digital books and such. But again...ehhh. Now that I see the iPad...I'm thinking this is the way to go.

I'll keep you posted. I don't jump into things like this lightly. I'll wait for reviews and such, but at apple.com the Marketing people have done a great job at making this thing very tempting. Wow. :)
