Strawberry Box

I've got strawberry blossoms coming!! This is the second year for my Strawberry Box, which means a better crop than the initial year. But I did learn one thing from last year about my strawberry box...too many chipmunks use it as a buffet! Grrrrrrr.

So I'm going to try something this spring. Who knows if it will work?

I bought some pinwheels and shiny silver curling ribbon and 'planted' them in with my blooming strawberry plants. I'm thinking (maybe???) the movement of these will scare the chipmunks and keep them away once the berries start to arrive. Guess time will tell. :)
